WT #108, Hollow Form Vessel from Eastern Red Cedar with Malachite inlay. #woodworking

Hollow Form Vessel from Eastern Red Cedar with Malachite inlay, 9 1/2” tall x 13” diameter with 2 3/16” opening. Buffed to 50,000 grit diamond finish. A Friend gave me he wood when he had 2 trees removed from his yard. Cedar is very challenging to work with as it is brittle and fractures easily and makes turning hollow forms difficult … particularly with the holes from deep bark inclusions I wanted to have in the piece. I love the colors and grain patterns in this piece and of course being cedar the smell is wonderful.
